Jacques Quinet White Lacquer Tables
Jacques Quinet White Lacquer Tables
A rare set of three small side tables by Jacques Quinet. Original bone white lacquer over wood.
Jacques Quinet was an architect first, then furniture designer as evident in the beautiful palladium arches in these side tables. His bronze and glass tables are easy to come by but the lacquer and wood pieces are not that common. Most of the work was produced in small numbers. The fact that they look like postmodern pieces that could of been made from a mold in plastic makes us love them that much more. One of the principles of great sculpture is to make one small change that forever changes the way you see the piece. The simple 90 degree turn of every other leg follows this principle
France c. 1960.
Minor cracks in lacquer, consistent with age. Please refer to images and feel free to contact us with any questions.
